At eXtreme Hotel we are focused on keeping our facilities as eco-friendly, sustainable and self-sufficient as possible. The hotel’s ventilation system has been designed to use the wind as a natural cooling element instead of high energy consuming air conditioning. Tiled floors keep the heat down and low energy fans keep the air from getting stale. Lots of green vegetation also helps to reduce the heat during the hottest months. As an eco-friendly hotel, we offer environmentally conscious rooms where you'll experience peaceful comfort while knowing you’re leaving a minimal carbon footprint. eXtreme Hotel is both relaxing and a healthy stay.

We strive to leave the hectic busy always distracting world at bay. In doing so there are no televisions or cable and encourage our guests to spend their time soaking up the sun and participating in energy infused nature/ health and fitness orientated activities. Think of your stay as a ‘digital detox’.  We do understand how important it is to stay in contact with people back home, so there are two free WiFi access points for the hotel, ensuring you can be online when needed. The restaurant also has its own separate WiFi.


ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Nulise Santana

The Philosophy of Yoga is the catalyst to having a deeper understanding of self; connecting to one’s spirit so fully that the freedom to love your life in the present moment becomes a reality and a life of self-awareness. Raised in a religious household, Nulise always had the notion that something greater than her existed. Left with unanswered questions she sought her own truth. Sometimes she found meaning in music and sometimes in her psychology and philosophy classes, but it wasn't until she discovered meditation and yoga that she felt that she was on the path of self-discovery. She felt a sense of bliss after every yoga class, and understood there was something profound with this practice, which led her to seek more.

As a true believer in the power of the self, in 2012 she left behind the corporate world to pursue her true purpose to help and to heal others through the power of yoga. Nulise took this intention to India where she completely immersed herself in the study of yoga. The beauty and intensity of living and practicing in the ashram impassioned her to teach traditional yoga fundamentals with the goal of inspiring her students to find their own truth, as she did.

In her teachings she incorporates music, chants, meditation, intention and prayer to heal and empower the spirit.

Nulise is E-RYT200 & RYT500 Hatha Raja Yoga. Kids Yoga Certified through Yoga-ED. All You Can Yoga Leader. Connection Coalition Volunteer.

Loree Shrager

During her first yoga class over 20 years ago, Loree realized that she’d found what she’d been craving. Since this initial "love at first experience" class, she’s been passionate about yoga and has continued to ravenously study various traditions under different teachers. She was certified to teach by the late Peter Barber (Kripalu), by Bobbi Goldin (Iyengar) and by Erich Schiffmann (Freedom Style). Loree has a PhD. in Clinical Psychology and is currently working as a psychotherapist at Miami Counseling and Resource Center. She analyzed and demonstrated yoga’s many effects in her final dissertation. The practice of mindfulness has been a strong influence in her personal life, and in her professional life, she focuses on mindfulness-based eating. As a yoga teacher, her flowing style is always changing, and she’s known for classes that are relaxing, fun and soothing all at once. Her Gentle Stretchy Yoga classes are like none other, come check them out and you’ll never be the same.

Please book your flight to arrive at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (POP). The airport is 30 minutes away from the hotel. Santiago Airport (STI) would be an alternative airport, 1 hour and 45 minutes away for an extra fee. Plan to arrive before 2:00PM. Transportation from the airport to Extreme Hotel will be at 3:00PM. Transfer from and to this airport will be provided by Extreme Hotel. Checking out of the hotel will be at 11 am on the 25th. Please plan to depart no earlier than 2:30pm. Please advise Nulise Santana of your flights details.
